What this website records about you, and how to say no. Short, because the answer is: very little.
If you subscribe, we store your email address, the date you signed up and the page you signed up on. We use it only to send the Cyber Risk Barometer and the monthly CERT round-up. We never share or sell it. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all further emails.
Sign-ups are kept in a Google Sheet in our Google Workspace account, which Google stores on our behalf.
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It only runs if you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you click Reject, or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies that tell it whether you have visited before. It records things like the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, and your type of device and browser. We see only totals and trends. We do not use advertising cookies, show adverts, or share or sell any of this.
Your cookie choice is kept in your own browser, so the banner is shown only once. To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser settings; the banner will appear again on your next visit.
The site is hosted on Google Firebase, which, like any web host, briefly keeps standard server logs of requests for security and reliability.
